Our brass players are capable of playing in many roles, including section leaders, soloists, and accompanists. We also have players who specialise in specific styles such as improvisational jazz.
Our players are extremely experienced, and come from diverse musical backgrounds including brass bands and orchestras.
Instrumentalists can follow brass band convention, reading in the treble clef (apart from bass trombone) and treating the instrument as a transposing instrument, or follow orchestral or other conventions, treating some instruments as concert pitch instruments and others as transposing instruments.
